A little care when your plants arrive will help them settle in and thrive!
When your chrysanthemum plants arrive, please unpack them immediately and give them a good drink of water. Your plants will need time to recover from their journey and adjust to their new environment before being planted out in the garden.
How to help your plants settle in:
Unpack and water: Remove your plants from their packaging as soon as they arrive and water them thoroughly.
Start in the shade: Place your plants in a sheltered, shaded position to allow them to recover.
Gradually introduce sunlight: Over approximately one week, slowly increase the amount of sunlight they receive each day. This process helps prevent stress and sun damage.
Plant out when ready: Once your plants have acclimatised, they can be planted into their permanent position.
Please don’t be concerned if your plants look a little pale or have some yellowing leaves when they arrive. This can happen during transport and is usually nothing to worry about. With proper watering, gradual acclimatisation and a little tender loving care, your chrysanthemums should settle in and begin to flourish.
